Biography

Abram Louis "Bram" Fischer was a South African lawyer and anti-apartheid activist. He came from a prominent Afrikaner family but chose to fight against apartheid. He led the legal defence at the Rivonia Trial and was himself later imprisoned for his activism. His sacrifice and courage made him a symbol of principled opposition to apartheid.
