Biography
Helen Beatrice May Joseph was a South African anti-apartheid activist. Born in England, she moved to South Africa and became a leading figure in the anti-apartheid movement. She helped organise the 1956 Women's March and was one of the first people placed under house arrest. She remained an outspoken advocate for justice until her death.
