Biography
Herbert Wiltshire Tapfumaneyi Chitepo was a Zimbabwean nationalist leader and the first black lawyer in Rhodesia. He served as the Chairman of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) and played a crucial role in organising the armed struggle against white minority rule. His assassination in Zambia in 1975 was a major blow to the liberation movement.
