Biography
Leopold Takawira was a Zimbabwean nationalist leader and Vice-President of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU). He was arrested and detained by the Rhodesian government for his political activities. He died in detention at Gonakudzingwa Restriction Camp, becoming a martyr for the liberation cause.
