Biography
Lilian Masediba Matabane Ngoyi was a South African anti-apartheid activist and the first woman elected to the ANC National Executive Committee. She led the 1956 Women's March to the Union Buildings and was a powerful orator who represented South Africa at international forums. She was banned and imprisoned for her activism but never stopped fighting for equality.
