Biography

Sarah Francesca "Sally" Mugabe was the first wife of Robert Mugabe and the First Lady of Zimbabwe from 1987 until her death in 1992. Born in Ghana, she trained as a teacher and became deeply involved in social causes, particularly child welfare and women's rights. She founded the Zimbabwe Child Survival Movement and was beloved by many for her kindness and approachable nature.
